End of summer giveaway!



 There is no better season than summer.  The swimming, the hiking, family gatherings.  We can't help but be a little sad as it starts to come to an end so, to prolong the inevitable as much as possible we want your favorite summer recipes.  What are the things you just have to make in the summer?  Post them here and we will pick the best recipe and send the winner our new "It's a piece of cake" poster.  We look forward to eating all of your favorites!

Turtle Bites

Package of Bite of Brownies (50ish)

Refrigerate 1 hour. Scoop out centers.

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 can condensed milk

Boil and stir 2 minutes. Pour into brownies while hot. Put in fridge and let set.

8 oz cream cheese
500 ml whipping cream
1 ½ cups icing sugar
¼ cup milk chocolate chips

Cream sugar and cheese together. Melt chocolate in double boiler and fold in. Whip cream and fold in. Stick in Ziplocs and chill. Pipe out of Ziploc.

Dump Cake

1 package yellow cake mix
1 large can of peaches in syrup
1 can of other fruit of choice in syrup
1 stick of butter

Pour both cans of fruit in 9X9 casserole dish. Sprinkle yellow cake mix on top evenly. Then cut butter in small squares and lay on top of cake to cover cake mix.

Bake at 350 degres 30 or more minutes, until bubbly and done.

Delush!

Score Bar Cake

1 pkg chocolate cake mix, baked
1 can Eagle Brand milk
Whipped cream
4 Skor bars chilled and crushed

Cool cake 3 min. Prick hot cake with fork to make rows of holes. Spread Eagle Brand over entire cake, using a spoon. Cool completely. Top with whipped cream and Skor bar pieces. Refrigerate.

By the way, when does this contest end???

I don't bake, so my summer recipe is very simple: buy fresh strawberries! I eat strawberries nearly every day in the summer. It's a must. And lots of icecream, but not mixing it with the strawberries. I'm a puritan that way. :)
